Backup power is provided by a maintenance-free, lithium battery (included), ensuring protection during power outages. The Silhouette™ uses ionization sensing technology that's easy to install with its pre-stripped wires. This alarm also features Smart Hush™, a simple, one button technology that enables testing of the alarm system, or silencing in the event of a non-emergency alert. The Silhouette™ links with other Kidde devices to create an interconnected system and has a visual indicator to alert when an alarm has been activated. Ten-year warranty.
