This bag isn't anything special. It has one big main compartment (24in long, 14in deep, 16in tall) that opens to the side -- so definitely not a ''step-in'' bag. It has a smaller compartment (about helmet size -- 15in tall, 14in long, 6.5 wide) on the handle side that opens up. Then there is a much smaller, flat pocket (about 8in by 9in) on the main compartment flap. It has a small plastic window (about business card size) to insert owner info.
It holds my turnout pants (with boots), turnout coat, and SCBA face piece and regulator in the main compartment, without much extra room for anything else. I put my helmet in the other compartment. The description claims it will fit two sets of gear, but that must be without boots. There's no way it would fit two sets of gear with boots.
I've only used it twice, and the zippers seem kinda flimsy.
Overall, a decent bag. But not worth $70+ in my opinion. More like $40-50.
