I am a new Firefighter/Paramedic for the City of Brookfield, WI. Since I am new, I do a lot of traveling between our three stations. A lot of traveling means always hauling all my gear/equipment around, which tends to be quite a pain. I did this for the first 6 months just by throwing all my belongings in my trunk and taking off. Recently, I had the pleasure of trying out one of your new gear bags, and I absolutely love it. Along with my regular turnour gear, I also have back up gloves, hoods, tools, rope, etc., to be carrying around. This bag carries it all, and still has room for more. I use one side pouch for my mask, which is already in a bag for double protection, and the other side pouch for all my back up equipment. The middle/main compartment has more than enough room to fit all my turnout gear, including my helmet and boots. I use the smaller front pouches for carrying extra EMS gloves, pens and other misc. items. This bag has made my traveling between stations a whole lot more organized, and a heck of a lot easier! For anyone who does traveling like I do, and doesn't have this gear bag, they are definitely missing out on elminating the hassle of making all the trips. As for the actual construction of the bag, mine gets thrown around, dragged, hung, and I haven't seen one tear or rip in the bag itself, or the sturdy straps. It's heavyduty, thats for sure. I recommend this bag to anyone who even thinks that they might need one, its worth it!
